High School Premier Winter Soccer

The Rogue Valley Timbers High School Premier Winter Soccer program is geared towards the player who wishes to compete at the highest level possible. If you are a top player and have aspirations to play at the collegiate level, this program is for you. Our High School Premier program competes in the Oregon Youth Soccer Association State Wide League that runs from mid-January through mid-April.

Immediately following the OYSA season, our teams compete in the OYSA State Cup OR OYSA Presidents Cup. These tournaments are part of the State Championship series and take place over multiple weekends in April and May (teams that win either of these cups will move to regionals in June). In addition, teams typically end the year with the Rogue Memorial Challenge over Memorial Day Weekend. During the season, we also attempt to compete in several showcase tournaments focusing on college recruiting.

This program requires a steep commitment from the player. While not impossible, it is challenging to commit to the demands of this program, as well as an additional high school sport. That said, we can and will do our best to make it work provided there is cooperation with the coaches from the other sport. Please click here for our policy on multi-sport athletes.

We expect that you commit fully to this program. That means being at training sessions (we only have 2 to 3 a week, and you can't get better, nor can the team improve if you are not there). In addition, should you be selected to the team, you are also committing to ALL team events, including showcase tournaments, League and State Cup games, and any post-season competitions such as Far West Regionals.

Teams typically attend the Seattle Showcase or the FC Portland Showcase in early January. Most of our teams will attend either the Mayors Cup International Showcase (Mid-February) or the Players Showcase (Mid-March). Both of these tournaments take place in Las Vegas. Some teams will opt to go to the NorCal Showcase in the Bay Area. All Showcase participation is subject to being accepted to each event.
